Piotr was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1972.
Inspired by the journalistic and literary history of his family, the
study of humanism has led him on a path of various cross-disciplinary
investigations.
Educated as an Architect in the Cooper Union, a unique art school in
New York City, he explores the ways of representation, the forms and
concepts of environments and the man’s relationship to them.
After spending some time in Asia, where he lived and taught in Bombay,
he returned to New York where he’s worked as a photographer and a
journalist. His work spans a variety of categories from portraiture
through architecture, the arts, film, fashion and reportage, frequently
seen in the international edition of Newsweek amongst other
publications.
Although his work often takes him to various places, he’s lived in New
York City since 1987.
